Finals @ youth nationals

Hundreds of people are here watching the best youth climbers in the country battle it out on the final day of competition!  The routes look long, tough and fun. All of the routes are set by some of the best route setters in the country. 

Sport climbing youth nationals

Some of the best youth climbers in the country gathered in Atlanta at stone summit climbing center for youth sport climbing nationals. 

Ravens Roost and the Lower Gauley

Woodberry Forests Schools Rapidan program headed out last weekend for an adventure filled weekend of rock climbing at Raven's Roost, camping (in the rain) in West VA and rafting the Lower Gauley at 6K cfs!!!  The trip was absolulutly amazing! 

Bow Drilling

The Woodberry Forest Rapidan guys tried their hand at bow drilling fires a couple of weeks ago.  Bow drilling is where you try and start a fire by rubbing two sticks togethor!  There was a good bit of smoke but unfortunatly no fire :(

Little Stony Man

Rapidan went climbing at Little Stony Man on Friday!  Everyone had a great time on a beautiful spring day!

Rappelling in SNP

Woodberry Forests Rapidan program headed out to Shenandoah National Park on Friday to do some rappelling!  The boys did a 60ft free hanging rappel!
