Pool day!

Mr Vickers and Mr Reid took the guys from Rapidan down to the pool today to fit boats and gear in preparation for some up coming trips. Students also practiced wet exiting in order to get more comfortable in the water and in their kayaks.

Bikes in the Forest

Who wants to go mountain biking? 

The MONT 24 hour bike race is the largest of it's type in Australia. The 2012 event was held at East Kowen Forest near Canberra. This is a collection of time lapse footage taken between the hours of 10pm and 3am.

Ropes Coure Instructor Training Day 2

Once again the guys did great! Practice was the word of the day. Everyone belayed, back-up belayed and climbed at least two times. Some of the boys also worked on tower pick-offs, and facilitating on the low course. I am really looking forward to seeing these guys work on the first IV Form ropes course day in a couple of weeks!

Ropes Course Instructor Training Day 1

We had a great day out on the course today. Students learned how to belay, facilitate group games, set up the climbs and much more. A lot of boys were definitely out of their comfort zones, however, they all pushed through and learned a lot. Here a few pics of the days adventure.

Ropes Course Instructor Dinner

19 boys arrived on campus today to train on how to facilitate on the ropes course. The students met at the pool, swam, played volleyball, talked about summer and ate hamburgers and hotdogs! Looks like the boys had a great time fueling up for tomorrow.

Fall Calendar

The fall calendar for Outdoor Education is coming together.
