WFS mountain bike team works on the perimeter trail

The guys headed out to Perimeter Trail yesterday to do some rock armoring of  a very swampy spot between the ampitheatre and the first corn field.  The guys were able to get about 80% of the job done.  We will head out and fix the rest of it up soon.

WAICL Championships

Saturday the varsity climbing team traveled to Earth Treks Timonium to compete in the WAICL Championship.  In an absolute nail-biter Woodberry placed 2nd (one point off of first).  Personal bests were put up by Connor, Joel, and Woody.

Highlights 
• Joel  earned 3rd place top male climber after besting two opponents in a overtime tie breaker.
• Woody accomplished a career best 5.11b in that last few seconds to secure the 2nd place spot.
• Connor and Joel climbed an incredibly difficult 5.11d (the first climbs of this difficulty this season)
• Kav showed incredible selflessness and leadership by climbing a 5.10d in the last 10 min to close the gap on 2nd.
• Ryan  showed his unbelievable toughness by completing a 5.10a despite stepping on his own hand on the climb before.

*The JV climbers will head up to Earth Treks Rockville on Tuesday to finish up a great season.
